We are humbled and so grateful to Shaz Ali – an awesome young person who has volunteered to cycle 300 miles on his static bike in order to raise £500 for The Calzy Foundation.

’When I heard Cal’s story – it really resonated with me and genuinely touched my heart. He was only 23 yrs old – and as a young adult who has also suffered my own mental health issues – I felt compelled to do something to help raise awareness around mental health and the impact of suicide within my generation.’

ALL of the funds raised by Shaz will be used to provide Mental Health First Response Training to our Calzy Foundation youth board and other young adults who reach out to us for support.

We will provide weekly updates on Shaz’s progress through the challenge (1st Sept – 30th Sept) and will be encouraging as many people as possible to share his awesome endeavour.

Each place on the MHFR Training costs £100 – so YOUR donation will make a REAL difference to young people suffering mental health trauma and crisis and may have been impacted by peer suicide.
